The William & Mary GALA Foundation, Inc., (WMGF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation based in the District of Columbia, founded in 2011. It is the independent legacy organization of William and Mary Gay and Lesbian Alumni/ae, Inc., which from 1986-2014 was the voice for LGBTQ+ alumni and friends of the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Through the efforts of this early GALA group, William and Mary and the Commonwealth of Virginia enacted non-discrimination policies and greatly relaxed the atmosphere for all minority groups on campus and in the greater Williamsburg community.

WMGF is committed to providing an independent source of funding for educational and charitable projects that will continue to enhance the campus experience for LGBTQ+ students and alumni.
